Do you listen to every episode of every channel?
Yes — every new episode goes through transcription, embedding, and ranking against your goals. What's irrelevant never reaches your brief.
How do you know what matters to me?
During onboarding you describe business goals, industry, role, projects. Plus you can adjust each brief by replying to the email — your notes go into your profile and calibrate future editions.
Can I add my own channels?
Yes. Studio and Enterprise plans let you submit podcasts (RSS or Spotify). We add them within 72h.
What if a quote is in another language?
Brief is in English; quotes stay in the original language with translation below. This preserves the weight of the speaker's words.
Is my data safe?
We host in Frankfurt (Hetzner), encrypt at rest and in transit, never share with third parties. GDPR compliant.
How long is onboarding?
5 minutes. 5 steps: goals → industry → profile → attachments (optional) → channels + delivery. First brief arrives next Tuesday or Friday.
How is this different from newsletters like Stratechery, Lenny's?
Newsletters are the author's perspective. BizMaven is yours — algorithm picks quotes against your goals and context, not against editor opinions.
Can I reply to email and update settings?
Yes — that's BizMaven's signature feature. Reply with notes like 'Less AI agents, more pricing' and the next brief calibrates. No dashboard login needed.
Does it work in German / Polish?
UI available in PL/EN/DE. Briefs generated in your chosen UI language. Quotes always in original language + translation.
What if 12 minutes is too long for me?
Settings let you choose 'Express' — 5 minutes, 3 quotes instead of 7. Full brief stays in archive when you have time.
Notion / Obsidian export?
Yes. Studio: Notion (OAuth, dedicated DB). Enterprise: Obsidian, Logseq via API + webhook. Solo: PDF + email.
Doesn't your AI 'steal' podcaster content?
We quote under fair use (research, criticism). Each quote has full attribution: channel, episode, timestamp, link. We promote original podcasts — never replace them.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, in 'Account → Cancel subscription' settings. Prorated payment, access until end of paid period. No tricks.
Do you have an API?
Enterprise: yes (REST + webhook). Solo and Studio: no, but you can export to Notion/PDF/email — sufficient for 95% of cases.
What if no episode matches my goals this week?
We send a 'No-brief' — short note 'Nothing relevant this week against your goals'. Better than forced content.
